Summary

This study looks at whether watching a 30-minute online video before hip or knee replacement surgery can help patients use fewer opioids afterward. The video teaches safe use of pain medicines and simple techniques to cope with pain. About 220 adults having knee or hip replacement will take part, and their opioid use will be tracked for six weeks after surgery.
