One shot for sight? trial tests single injection to treat common cause of blindness

NCT ID NCT06660667

Summary

This study is testing a single injection into the eye (called SAR402663) for people with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a leading cause of vision loss. The main goal is to see if this one-time treatment is safe and if it can help control the disease, potentially reducing the need for the frequent eye injections patients currently require. Researchers will follow participants for up to 5 years to check their vision and the treatment's long-term effects.
