Inhaled nausea drug shows promise in early trial
NCT ID NCT07498751
First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This early-stage study tested whether an inhaled powder form of ondansetron (a common anti-nausea drug) can enter the bloodstream safely. 24 healthy adults received either the inhaled drug, a placebo, or the drug by mouth or injection. Researchers measured how much drug got into the blood and monitored for side effects. The goal was to gather safety and absorption data, not to treat nausea directly.
