First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares two non-drug treatments for people with chronic neck pain, dizziness, and headaches caused by cervicocranial dysfunction. Fifty adults will be randomly assigned to receive either osteopathic manipulative treatment or standard physiotherapy. Researchers will measure changes in headache impact, dizziness disability, neck disability, and stress after four weeks to see which approach works better.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
osteopathic manipulative treatment and standard physiotherapy
What this could lead to
If this trial succeeds, it could show that osteopathic treatment is a better option than standard physiotherapy for relieving dizziness, headaches, and neck pain in people with cervicocranial dysfunction.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 50 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The study is not blinded, which could bias outcomes.
