Osteopathic touch may boost Brain's waste removal, MRI study hints

NCT ID NCT07629765

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a hands-on therapy called osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) can change how fluid moves in the brain. Researchers will use MRI scans to measure fluid flow before and after a 30-minute OMT session in 30 healthy adults aged 18 to 80. The goal is to learn more about how OMT might support brain health, not to treat any disease.
