New hope for children struggling to speak
NCT ID NCT07216001
Summary
This study is testing whether a nutritional supplement called Omega-DEK, taken with L-carnitine, can help children with a severe speech disorder called childhood apraxia of speech. Children aged 3 to 6 will take the supplement for 12 weeks, followed by an 8-week period where some will continue the supplement and others will switch to a placebo. The main goal is to see if the study is practical to run and to look for early signs of improvement in speech skills.
