Summary
This study is testing a small, permanent, Omega-shaped metal device for people with chronic acid reflux (GERD) that isn't helped by standard medications. The device is placed around the esophagus during a laparoscopic surgery to help strengthen the weak muscle that lets stomach acid back up. The goal is to see if the device is safe and can effectively reduce reflux symptoms and the need for daily medication over one year of follow-up.
