Can a simple nutritional shake before surgery reduce complications for cancer patients?
NCT ID NCT07478432
Summary
This study is testing whether drinking a nutritional supplement enriched with Omega-3 fatty acids for three weeks before major abdominal cancer surgery can help patients recover better. It will compare this special supplement to a standard one in 28 patients to see if it reduces complications like infections and shortens hospital stays. The goal is to see if better nutrition before surgery can improve outcomes for this complex procedure.
