First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special fat emulsion made from fish oil can help newborns with a severe lung condition (pulmonary hypertension) and a hole in the diaphragm. The treatment aims to reduce inflammation and stress in the body, improve oxygen levels, and lower blood pressure in the lungs. About 40 babies will receive either the fish-oil emulsion or a standard soy-based emulsion to compare results.
