Can fish oil help babies born to HIV-Positive moms?

NCT ID NCT06971445

Summary

This study is testing if daily omega-3 fish oil supplements can help improve pregnancy outcomes for women with HIV who are on standard antiviral treatment. Researchers want to see if the supplement leads to healthier birth weights, longer pregnancies, and reduced inflammation compared to a placebo. About 92 pregnant women will take either the omega-3 supplement or a placebo (olive oil) for 8 weeks to measure these effects.
