Fish oil pills & aspirin: a new hope for Smokers' failing gums?
NCT ID NCT07385300
Summary
This study tested whether taking omega-3 fish oil supplements and low-dose aspirin, with or without an antibiotic, could improve the results of professional gum cleaning for smokers with severe gum disease. It involved 45 smoker participants to see if this combination reduced gum pocket depth and inflammation. The goal was to find a better way to control the disease in people where smoking makes standard treatment less effective.
