First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 39 times
Summary
This study tests whether a daily pill made from bacterial proteins (OM-89) can reduce the number of antibiotic treatments needed for urinary tract infections in adults with neurogenic bladder due to spinal cord injury. Participants must use catheters and have had at least 6 antibiotic courses for UTIs in the past year. The trial compares OM-89 to a placebo over one year, aiming to lower antibiotic use and fight drug-resistant bacteria.
