New hope for Hard-to-Treat bladder cancers: drug targets genetic weakness

Summary
This study tests a drug called olaparib in people with advanced bladder or related cancers that have certain DNA repair problems. The drug works by blocking a protein that helps cancer cells fix themselves, which may stop tumor growth. About 60 adults with these specific gene changes will take part. The goal is to see if the drug can shrink tumors and improve survival.
