New office procedure could replace surgery for permanent birth control
NCT ID NCT03433911
Summary
This study tested a new office-based permanent birth control method called FemBloc against traditional laparoscopic sterilization surgery. Researchers followed 240 women aged 21-45 who wanted permanent contraception for over five years to compare safety and outcomes. The goal was to see if the simpler office procedure could provide a safe alternative to surgery.
