New eye gel tested for red, irritated eyes from rosacea

Summary

This study is testing a new eye gel called lotilaner to see if it is safe and can help control the symptoms of ocular rosacea, a condition that causes red, irritated, and dry eyes. It will involve about 155 adults with moderate to severe ocular rosacea. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the active gel or a placebo gel to compare the results.
