Heart doctors skip Life-Saving scans: study investigates why

NCT ID NCT07193693

Summary

This study aims to understand why doctors often do not use advanced imaging tools during complex heart artery procedures, even though guidelines strongly recommend them to improve safety and results. Researchers will observe 1,000 patients across three groups: those who did not receive the imaging, those who did as recommended, and those who did outside of recommendations. The goal is to identify barriers like time, cost, or training, and to learn how this imaging influences treatment decisions.
