Eye anesthesia study reveals hidden blood vessel changes
NCT ID NCT07298746
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how local anesthesia around the eye changes tiny blood vessels in the retina during cataract surgery. Researchers will use a special camera (OCT angiography) to take pictures before and after the numbing injection. The goal is to understand these changes better, not to treat a disease. The study includes 100 adults aged 40 to 80 who need cataract surgery with a numbing block.
