New MS drug trial targets chinese patients
NCT ID NCT07483450
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests the drug ocrelizumab in 60 Chinese adults with two forms of multiple sclerosis (MS): relapsing MS and primary progressive MS. The goal is to see if it reduces relapses and controls disease activity. Participants receive ocrelizumab infusions, and researchers track relapses, brain scans, and B-cell levels over 48 weeks.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
ocrelizumab (OCREVUS)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could confirm that ocrelizumab works well for Chinese MS patients, offering a treatment option to reduce relapses and slow disability progression.
What could go wrong
This is a small, open-label study with no placebo group, so results may not be definitive. Ocrelizumab can increase infection risk and infusion reactions.
