Blood clot patients monitored for better understanding of risks
NCT ID NCT02188056
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study followed 300 people who had a blood clot in a vein (deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism) to see how often clots come back or cause bleeding. Researchers wanted to find new risk factors and compare newer blood thinners to older ones. The study did not test a new treatment but collected information to improve future care.
