Summary

This study tests whether taking an oat fiber supplement for just two days can lower urine levels of plastic-related chemicals like BPA in healthy adults. Researchers will also monitor blood sugar changes using continuous glucose monitors. The goal is to see if a simple dietary addition might help reduce exposure to these common environmental chemicals.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
an oat fiber supplement (NeutraOat)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple dietary way to help the body remove plastic-related chemicals.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, short-term study in healthy adults, so results may not apply broadly or show meaningful effects.
