New dissolving film could tame oral allergy symptoms
NCT ID NCT06527937
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested a dissolvable film (DESF) that delivers epinephrine to help control allergic reactions in people with oral allergy syndrome. Thirty-six healthy adults with a history of oral allergies received the film after eating trigger foods, and researchers measured how quickly and effectively the medicine entered the bloodstream compared to a standard shot. The goal is to see if this easy-to-use film can ease symptoms like itching and swelling in the mouth.
