ICU feeding study aims to ease recovery for surgery patients
NCT ID NCT07352150
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to feed patients through a tube after major abdominal surgery to reduce stomach problems like nausea and vomiting. Researchers will compare giving nutrition with extra fluids mixed in versus giving it straight, in 80 adults recovering in intensive care. The goal is to help patients tolerate feeding better during their critical recovery period.
