Nutrition test could predict which hip fracture surgeries will fail
NCT ID NCT07159945
Summary
This study looked at 1,296 older adults who had surgery for a broken hip. Researchers wanted to see if a patient's nutritional health before surgery could predict if the surgical repair would fail later. They found that a simple nutrition score was the best predictor and created a tool to help doctors identify patients at highest risk.
