Trial tests new feeding formula for tiniest babies
NCT ID NCT07236957
Summary
This study tested two different ways to calculate the nutritional needs of 100 premature, underweight newborns who were fed entirely through an IV. One method used the baby's actual birth weight, while the other used a standard 'corrected' weight based on growth charts. The goal was to see which feeding approach led to better weight gain and growth for these vulnerable infants.
