Can a few nutrition lessons change how young athletes eat?

NCT ID NCT07460102

Summary

This study tested whether a short nutrition education program could improve sports nutrition knowledge, diet quality, and body composition in teenage female handball players. 97 athletes from four clubs were split into two groups: one received three weekly lessons from a dietitian, while the other did not. The goal was to see if learning about energy needs, nutrients, and hydration could lead to better eating habits and health.
