Can better nurse training stop deadly ICU infections?

NCT ID NCT07299799

Summary

This study aims to see if training nurses in evidence-based practices can reduce common and serious complications for patients in intensive care units (ICUs). It will involve 272 ICU nurses and patients in Bangladesh. Researchers will train nurses on best practices and then measure if this leads to fewer cases of ventilator-associated pneumonia, central line bloodstream infections, and pressure ulcers (bed sores).
