Nursing students practice safety with actors to cut medical mistakes

NCT ID NCT07471737

First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether first-year nursing students can learn about patient safety and medical errors better by practicing with actors (simulated patients) instead of just mannequins. About 62 students will be split into two groups: one practices with actors, the other with low-tech mannequins. Researchers will measure their knowledge, skills, and confidence to see which method works best.
