Nursing students practice safety with simulated patients

NCT ID NCT07471737

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 10, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether first-year nursing students can learn about patient safety and medical errors better by practicing with simulated patients (actors) instead of just mannequins. About 62 students will be split into two groups: one practices with simulated patients, the other with low-tech mannequins. Researchers will measure their knowledge, skills, and confidence before, right after, and six weeks after training.
