New nursing plan aims to stop deadly clots in heart surgery patients

NCT ID NCT07347652

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific nursing care plan can prevent dangerous blood clots in the legs (deep vein thrombosis) for patients recovering from major heart surgery. It compares patients who get the new nursing plan to those who receive standard care. The goal is to see if the new plan leads to fewer blood clots and related complications in the three months after surgery.
