NCT ID NCT07467616
First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether a structured nursing guideline could improve care for children with diabetic ketoacidosis, a serious diabetes complication. Sixty children aged 6-16 were split into two groups: one received standard hospital care, the other received care based on the new guideline. The guideline focused on close monitoring of vital signs, blood sugar, and fluid balance to catch problems early. Researchers compared how quickly the condition resolved and how long children stayed in the hospital.
