New nursing plan aims to speed recovery for kids in diabetic crisis
NCT ID NCT07467616
Summary
This study tested whether using a detailed, evidence-based nursing guideline improves care for children hospitalized with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), a serious diabetes complication. Researchers compared 60 children who received either standard hospital care or care following the new guideline. They measured how quickly the children recovered, their blood sugar levels, and their total time in the hospital.
