Summary
This study looked at whether a nurse-led educational program could help people on hemodialysis better care for their arteriovenous fistula (AVF) — the special blood vessel used for treatment. 166 patients with chronic kidney disease were taught about signs of problems and how to prevent complications. After the teaching, patients showed improved self-care knowledge and behaviors.
