Nurses fight bed sores with simple care lessons

NCT ID NCT06981962

Summary

This study tested whether a short, nurse-led education program could prevent painful pressure ulcers (bed sores) in stroke patients who cannot move easily. 128 high-risk patients and their caregivers received a 2-day program in the hospital, learning about proper positioning, skin care, and how to reduce pressure on the skin. The goal was to see if this training lowered the number of patients who developed these sores.
