New nursing approach aims to ease burden for knee surgery families

Summary
This study will test a special nursing care program designed to support frail older adults recovering from knee replacement surgery and the family members who care for them. It aims to reduce feelings of being trapped and overwhelmed in caregivers, while improving patient satisfaction. The research will compare 50 patient-caregiver pairs, with half receiving the new care program and half receiving standard care.
