Could a new nursing style ease the pain of heart surgery?
NCT ID NCT06769945
Summary
This study tested whether a specific nursing care approach, based on a theory of comfort, could improve how comfortable patients feel and reduce their pain after open heart valve surgery. Researchers compared this special nursing care to standard care in 56 adult patients. They measured comfort and pain levels at the start of care and again 72 hours later to see if the new approach made a difference.
