Summary

This study tested whether a computer tool that helps nurses decide when to prescribe antibiotics for acute respiratory infections can reduce unnecessary antibiotic use. The tool was used in primary care and urgent care clinics with 347 participants. Researchers measured how useful nurses found the tool and whether antibiotic prescribing became more appropriate.
