Nurse-Led "Quiet night" plan aims to help ICU patients sleep

Summary

This study tests a nurse-led program to reduce stress and improve sleep for patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). The program includes lowering noise, dimming lights at night, and grouping care tasks to avoid waking patients. About 68 awake adults will either receive this program or standard ICU care for up to five nights. Researchers will measure stress and sleep quality using questionnaires.
