New breathing plan for sick babies aims to get them home faster
NCT ID NCT06621641
Summary
This study tested a new, structured plan for weaning infants with severe bronchiolitis off high-flow oxygen support. The goal was to see if this nurse-led protocol could safely reduce the time babies need the breathing machine, shorten their hospital stay, and lower costs. Researchers compared the new plan to the usual care in 150 hospitalized infants aged 1 to 24 months.
