Can better knowledge keep surgery patients safer? study probes nurse Decision-Making

NCT ID NCT07429084

Summary

This study aims to understand if operating room nurses' knowledge about preventing unintended patient hypothermia (dangerous drops in body temperature) during surgery affects their clinical decision-making. Researchers will survey at least 165 nurses using questionnaires and hypothetical scenarios to see if more knowledge leads to better decisions. The goal is to identify training needs to improve patient safety and care quality in the operating room.
