Simple cuff procedure tested for heart failure relief
NCT ID NCT07365501
First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a noninvasive procedure called remote ischemic preconditioning (RIPC) can improve blood vessel health in 48 sedentary adults with suspected heart failure. Participants in the intervention group will have a blood pressure cuff inflated and deflated on their arm in cycles, while the control group gets no treatment. Researchers will measure various vascular parameters before, right after, and up to 24 hours later to see if RIPC has an acute benefit.
