Can Nurses' quick health check predict who needs a breathing tube?
NCT ID NCT07382895
Summary
This study looked at whether health assessments (called ASA scores) done by operating room nurses could help predict which patients might need help breathing with a ventilator after surgery. Researchers compared the scores given by nurses and anesthesiologists for 80 patients to see if they matched up with the patients' actual need for breathing support. The goal was to understand if nurses' assessments are reliable for spotting patients at higher risk.
