New pill aims to boost diet and exercise for weight loss

NCT ID NCT07055516

Summary

This study is testing if an experimental pill called NT-0796 can help people with obesity lose weight and improve blood sugar control when taken alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. About 162 adults with obesity, some of whom also have type 2 diabetes, will take the pill or a placebo for 6 months. Researchers will measure changes in body weight, blood sugar levels, and safety to see if the drug is effective.
