Nurse training showdown: Year-Long vs One-Day for saving newborns

NCT ID NCT04572048

First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at two ways to train nurses in newborn resuscitation: a one-day course versus training spread over a year. The goal was to see which method helps nurses remember skills better and is more cost-effective for hospitals. About 55 new nurses from hospital nurseries took part. The study was stopped early, but the findings could help hospitals decide how to train staff with limited budgets.
