Old antibiotic, new hope: novobiocin targets Cancer's achilles heel

Summary
This early-phase study tests a drug called novobiocin in people with advanced solid tumors that have specific DNA repair gene mutations (like BRCA). Novobiocin blocks a protein cancer cells need to fix their DNA, causing them to die. The goal is to find the safest dose and see if it can shrink or stabilize tumors. About 43 participants will be enrolled.
