Skin graft trial seeks to heal devastating wounds
NCT ID NCT05120726
Summary
This study tested a treatment called EpiFix, a special tissue graft, to help heal painful, non-healing skin ulcers caused by a condition called pyoderma gangrenosum. Researchers also aimed to understand how the graft works by studying genetic changes in the wound. The trial involved a small group of adult patients and included surgery to apply the graft and later a skin graft, followed by close monitoring of healing.
