New device aims to get answers faster for sick cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06495775

Summary

This study tested a new device designed to make collecting stool samples from hospitalized cancer patients with diarrhea easier and faster. The goal was to see if using this device at the patient's bedside could shorten the time they spend in isolation and speed up getting them the right treatment for their infection. Researchers enrolled 50 patients to check if the device worked well and was safe to use.
