New magnesium shield could save smiles after severe bone loss

Summary

This study tests a special magnesium membrane (NOVAMag SHIELD) placed with bone graft material to support immediate dental implants in people with severe bone defects after tooth extraction. Forty adults with advanced bone loss in the front teeth area will be enrolled. The goal is to see if this technique helps rebuild bone and allows implants to succeed long-term.
