Alaska telemedicine trial aims to stop hearing loss in its tracks
NCT ID NCT05593484
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026
Summary
This study tests a telemedicine program called STAR to help children in rural Alaska get follow-up care after school hearing screenings. Many children with hearing loss don't see a specialist because there are few nearby. The program connects them to care directly from school. About 2,000 students per year across 23 schools will take part over four years.
