Scientists test pill to stop stomach bug before it starts

NCT ID NCT07198139

Summary

This study is testing whether an oral drug called CDI-988 can prevent people from getting sick after being exposed to norovirus, a common stomach bug. Healthy adults will take the drug or a placebo pill and then be intentionally given a dose of the virus. Researchers will compare how many people in each group develop symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea to see if the drug works.
