First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study watches brain activity in 30 organ donors after death to make sure no brain function returns during a procedure that restores blood flow to organs for transplant. Using special monitors, researchers check that the donor remains brain-dead throughout. The goal is to confirm that current safeguards are working properly.
