First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-thermal (cold) plasma treatment can improve healing and reduce pain after thyroid surgery. About 26 adults having their thyroid removed will be randomly assigned to receive either standard wound care or the plasma treatment applied to the surgical area. Researchers will track how quickly the wound closes, pain levels, and any complications over 12 weeks.
